The MEDiate project will be participating in the upcoming Europe and Central Asia Regional Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) event in November in Montenegro. This platform will assess progress on the regional EFDRR Roadmap for Disaster Risk Reduction 2021-2030 and aims to strengthen the capacities of authorities and stakeholders to expedite the implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030.

Held every three years, the Regional Platform serves as a crucial forum for addressing regional disaster risk challenges. It brings together representatives from 55 Member States, along with stakeholders from civil society and the private sector, to promote knowledge-sharing and establish tangible commitments to reducing disaster risk. In 2024, the Government of Montenegro will host the Regional Platform in collaboration with the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction, supported by UNDP, the European Commission, and the Council of Europe. The MEDiate project will feature a marketplace booth, showcasing the project, tools, and initiatives related to disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation. This is aimed to foster collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing among DRR stakeholders.
