The MEDiate Project participated at the Disaster Resilience Days held in Brussels from 19 to 21 May 2025. The event was organized under the framework of the Community for European Research and Innovation for Security (CERIS), and brought together experts, policymakers, and research leaders from across Europe to explore innovative strategies for enhancing disaster preparedness and resilience.

MEDiate was represented by the project coordinator, Abdelghani Meslem, who participated in a panel discussion titled “Fostering Preparedness for Uncertain Times: Innovative Multi-Hazard Approaches and Climate Resilience.” During the session, he presented the project’s main outcomes and highlighted the added value MEDiate delivers in supporting decision-makers facing complex, interconnected risks.

Dr. Meslem emphasized the importance of cross-sectoral coordination, the establishment of robust multi-level governance frameworks, and the development of legal and policy instruments to support the real-world implementation of EU-funded innovations.
