“Integrated Approaches to Risk, Resilience, and Preparedness: Insights from the C2IMPRESS & MEDiate Projects”

This webinar will showcase the outcomes of both Horizon Europe projects, with project representatives presenting their decision-support systems, tools, and methodologies designed to advance disaster preparedness and resilience. Participants will gain first-hand insights into innovative approaches that address multi-hazard risk assessment and resilience-building.

The session will be moderated by Dr. Tamanna Khan, Chief Operating Officer at Technovative Solutions LTD (TVS) and Dissemination & Communications Manager of the C2IMPRESS Project. The panelists are Dr. Abdelghani Meslem, Principal Research Engineer at NORSAR and Coordinator of the MEDiate Project and Dr. Mohammad Azizur Rahman, Director at Technovative Solutions LTD (TVS) and Technical Manager of the C2IMPRESS Project.

The panel discussion will be followed by a live Q&A session, offering participants the opportunity to engage directly with the experts.

The MEDIATE Project contributes to strengthening disaster risk assessment systems and governance through its Decision-Support System (DSS), which integrates innovative research on multi-hazard interactions, multi-risk and resilience assessment, and multi-criteria decision-making.

In parallel, the C2IMPRESS advances understanding and public awareness of multi-hazard risks, focusing on the multidimensional impacts, vulnerabilities, and resilience associated with extreme weather events, from their origins through to their aftermath.
